So much doom and gloom in Tenerife with the stagnant property market, bars closing down, people leaving and the strong Euro playing havoc with the pound, we thought we would write a “happy story” today and one thing that is certainly not on the wane is the remarkable website: Tenerife Forum
Forums, if you are not aware are fully interactive websites where the readers provide much of the content through publicly visible “conversations” around which social groups can thrive.
Easy to use and contribute to, the Tenerife Forum is one of the largest around and by far the largest of its kind in Tenerife with more than 16,500 individual users. This number is growing by the day and there are currently more than 31,000 different online “conversations” – commonly referred to as “threads”.
Everything from tourism to politics, days out in Tenerife to apartment prices is discussed. Basically if you want the inside story or information on pretty much anything Tenerife-related, this is the place to find it.
If for some reason something hasn’t already been covered, then you can simply post your question up and read the many responses it will generate.

There is a very diverse mix of members and plenty of opposing opinions amongst the many discussions. The forum is however very civilised in comparison to your average forum and appalling behavior wont be tolerated although it is expected from many members (Licinius, Juba, AnnaAlfredo, KGBKaz and Doreen for example!)
The “moderators” do an excellent job of helping “newbies” and spammy rubbish is quickly deleted. With such a large readership, it is a great place for businesses to advertise too! In comparison to other forms of advertising the prices are more than reasonable.
Many great businesses advertise there such as TenerifeMortgagerBroker.com, 9 Plus Electrical, Motorworld and Witzend. What sets many of these businesses apart though is that their owners are all active participants in the forum! So if you are thinking of advertising in Tenerife, this is a great place to start.

I believe Kirsty does a great deal of “behind the scenes” work and has been with the forum from the very beginning.
Certainly a great deal of the forums success is down to her and the mod team she keeps on top of.
